How To Prevent Sweating

Sweating is a natural human body process that allows for your body’s core temperature regulation. If you didn’t sweat then you would overheat, which could lead to heat stroke – even death. However, if you sweat too much or for no reason at all, then you are suffering from an excessive sweating disorder known as hyperhidrosis. While there are ways to cure over excessive sweating, most treatments are aimed at how to prevent sweating.

It is normal to sweat when you are over-exerting your self (such as when you exercise), are nervous, or exposed to high temperatures. It is not normal to sweat if you are sitting still at your desk at work or school or have large underarm sweat stains on your shirt after work or school when none of the aforementioned causes of sweating were present. Excessive sweating can be an embarrassing disorder to overcome, because any way you look at it, sweat causes body odor; however, there is always hope and this problem is not uncommon.

You just need to decide how to prevent your sweating. Everyone is different in the way that their profuse sweating can be controlled. Sometimes sweating can be controlled by simple over-the-counter antiperspirants. If your problem is severe enough, this will not prevent your sweating entirely. There are also prescription antiperspirants, medications, and surgical procedures available to control sweating.
